Grown-Up FAQs
Getting Started with Socialeyez
While Protection is active, Socialeyez can analyze information that is visibly present on a Kid’s screen and identify meaningful digital moments. Those moments can contribute to Behavior Insights, Rep Score changes, progress, rewards, or important safety information when appropriate.
Socialeyez includes features that support safer digital habits, but its purpose goes beyond traditional parental controls. Instead of focusing only on blocking, restricting, or monitoring, Socialeyez helps kids build judgment, confidence, and healthier digital habits of their own.
Family Accounts & Profiles
Use the family invitation feature to invite another trusted Grown-Up to the existing family. They should join the current family rather than create a separate family for the same Kid.
Yes. A family can have multiple Kids connected to the Grown-Up account. Each Kid’s Rep Score, progress, Insights, rewards, and activity remain separate.
Birthday and Grade Level are managed through the Grown-Up experience. Kids do not manage these profile details themselves.
The new device may need to be linked to the existing Kid profile. Reconnect the Kid rather than creating a new profile so their existing family relationship and progress stay together.
Protection, Insights & Digital Safety
No. Socialeyez is not designed to give Grown-Ups a play-by-play of everything a Kid does. It focuses on meaningful digital moments that can support better awareness, choices, and family conversations.
Socialeyez can analyze text, images, and other information that is visibly present on the Kid’s screen while Protection is active. It cannot automatically know what happened off-screen, what a Kid clicked, or what they intended unless that information is clearly supported by what is visible.
Grown-Ups can see information designed to help them support their Kid, including Rep Score progress, Highlights, Behavior Insights, and Safety Alerts when a situation may involve serious risk.
A Behavior Insight gives Grown-Ups useful context about a meaningful digital moment. It is designed to help families understand what happened without treating every situation like an emergency.
Safety Alerts are reserved for situations that may involve serious risk and deserve closer attention. Everyday growth moments and less serious concerns are handled separately.
Socialeyez cannot provide the same level of insight while Protection is inactive. When Protection is turned back on, the Kid can return to their normal Socialeyez experience.
No. Socialeyez is designed to support family conversations, not replace them. The goal is to provide better context and more opportunities to talk about digital choices constructively.
Screen Time
The approval experience is designed around whether the Kid can change their selection. The specific app information available to the Grown-Up may be limited by the device platform.
Grown-Up Reward FAQs
Socialeyez uses a curated catalog of approved digital rewards. Options are selected with the intended Kid audience in mind.
Not at this time. Socialeyez currently uses a standardized reward experience so rewards remain consistent and easy for families to understand.
Kid FAQs
Rep Score and Progress
A lower Rep Score does not mean you failed. It means something affected your recent progress.
You can keep making positive choices and continue building from there.
Stars are points you can earn through eligible positive activity in Socialeyez. They are one way Socialeyez helps make your progress visible.
Badges recognize achievements and milestones you reach in Socialeyez.
Drops are real rewards you can unlock as you make progress and reach qualifying milestones.
Friends and Support
No. Adding someone as a friend does not give them access to your private Behavior Insights, Safety Alerts, or everything happening on your device.
Nudges are private, supportive messages from a trusted Grown-Up. They can be used to encourage you, check in, or help start a conversation.
Kid Reward FAQs
Not necessarily. Stars help show your progress, but earning Stars does not always mean they convert directly into money or a gift card.
When a Drop gives you a choice, you can choose from the approved reward options available to you at that time.
Socialeyez will show you that you earned a Drop and guide you through the next steps to view or redeem your reward.
First, try reopening Socialeyez. If the reward still does not appear, ask your Grown-Up to contact the Socialeyez support team so we can help.
